Winter Greetings From BPP
A Stash Of Flashes – Launched
An utterly fabulous event launching the Worcestershire LitFest Flash Fiction Anthology for 2015 took place on Sunday 22 November. Flash writers who entered the competition read their work in a most enjoyable afternoon at Drummonds, The Swan With Two Nicks. This was the fourth Flash Fiction competition for the LitFest and (if this is possible!) it gets better every year. Many, many thanks to all who contributed, it was the culmination of many months of work for the writers, the organisers and the judges.
Now you can order your own copy of the anthology ‘A Stash Of Flashes’ directly from Black Pear Press, see below.

International Success
International Success For Worcester Writer
Worcester writer Kevin Brooke has sent more copies of Jimmy Cricket, his latest YA novel, to Austria; his librarian contact, Linda, said:
‘… I’ve spoken to the teacher who is using them and she
confirms they are being used in a ‘Fachschule für Sozialberufe’, with
Fachschule being a special, specific school for school leavers and
Sozialberufe, literally meaning Social Jobs.
‘She has explained that the books will be used in her lessons “in a cross-curricular way, combining English language and reading in a foreign language plus discussing the content / the topic of the book about a troubled boy which is also relevant for our students as we are in a social college.”‘
