Nina Lewis, a former Worcestershire Poet Laureate, organised a second edition of ‘A Tale of Two Cities’ (ATOTC). Many will remember the wonderful project back in 2017-18 when Nina invited poets from Worcester UK and Worcester USA to pair up and write call-and-response poems about their city.
We were thrilled to see it repeated – poets from Worcester UK and Worcester USA paired up to write open-themed call-and-response poems this year.
In the original project there was a UK launch and a USA reading, but thanks to the wonders of technology an online event united UK and USA poets for an afternoon / evening of shared poetry.
Black Pear Press were delighted to host the online event.
The original project was published as a Special Edition of Contour magazine and involved over 40 poets, read the issue here.
There will be an anthology produced for ATOTC II and details will be shown here when available.
